White Shark Management is an alternative investment manager that specializes in transparent quantitative investing. White Shark was founded to develop innovative solutions driven by algorithmic decision-making that not only rethink how to approach global market risks within a portfolio, but also specifically address the principal concerns that today’s investors have with both active and passive investment strategies.
When owner Scott Roman was ready to launch WSM, he came to Spin350 for brand development and an online presence. It was important that the use of shark iconography was done right so that it did not feel like a traditional brand mascot, but instead, the imagery that backed the brand. After a lot of discovery research and client input, I developed a brand that incorporated a shark fin and also the alpha, a symbol used in finance as a measure of performance. In 2017, White Shark was an official corporate sponsor / host of Team Eye & Ear at the Boston Marathon.
